I have been involved in the transport industry for the past 30+ years and have a wealth of experience.
Starting back in 1988 as a taxi driver then a parcel courier driver. Which led me on to having my own parcel delivery franchise in Manchester.
In 2002 I moved down to Leicestershire to start a new chapter in my life as a 7.5 tonne palletised load delivery driver at a company called Riverforge in Wymeswold. This is where I worked my way up from a driver to a transport supervisor and within a couple of years I was fortunate enough to become the operations manager and qualified to hold the Transport Operators Licence.
It was always my goal to become a driving instructor and the oppurtunity was given to me in 2009.
I left my full time job and worked part time (20 hours) at Tesco in Loughborough where I was their car park litter picker this then enabled to me to go to the driving instructor college in Leicester with RED driving school. I qualified in 2010.
I could not have done this without the support of my wife Jacqueline whom I married in 2002 in Gretna Green on Christmas Eve.
